San Pedro Variscite is a relatively new cliam, located in Esmeralda County, NV. It is often compared to Blackjack Turquoise which is owned and mined by the Otteson Family, who own various mines near Tonopah, NV. While it may be a lookalike, it is slightly harder and takes an excellent polish. It is quickly becoming a very popular gemstone for cabochon jewelers these days.
